Ryan Chow, Tennis Professional
Ryan is back again at The Supreme Court Tennis Club! He has been coaching at the clubs current location over the past 10 winters. Ryan is currently the Head Tennis Professional at Leaside Tennis Club in the outdoor season and has helped organize and deliver their adult and junior development programs, run the teams, and club events. Ryan has extensive experience as a High Performance Coach working for several tennis academies as well as overseeing and currently working with a select few progressive junior players and ranked senior players. He has toured with internationally ranked juniors and has worked with many provincial and national champions. As well as coached several players to their respective university varsity tennis team’s in Canada/US.
As a player, Ryan competed on a tennis scholarship in the US at Bloomsburg University. During college Ryan helped his team earn a conference championships, reach the final 16 at the NCAA National Championships, and named to the All-Conference Team in both singles and doubles. After college, Ryan traveled playing Professional Tennis on the Futures Circuit and was ranked on the ATP Tour. At the moment he enjoys playing in numerous doubles league’s around the city.
Ryan holds a Club Professional 3 certification and Coach 2 certification with Tennis Canada, as well as a Wheelchair Tennis certification. Previously, Ryan has been Head Tennis Professional at Yellowknife Tennis Club (administered all NWT programs for the Territories tennis plan), and Assistant Tennis Professional for the Wanaka Tennis Club in New Zealand.
Ryan looks forward to helping improve all adult and junior members at the club this winter season.
