Stuart Teather, Managing Director
Stuart has been involved in tennis since age 5 on summer trips to Southampton, Ontario, but it wasn’t until 2000 that he found out about community clubs in the city of Toronto and joined Davisville Tennis Club.
Since that time, Stuart has been very active in the tennis community first as Treasurer at Davisville in 2001 and then President for the following 15 years (along with other roles along the way including Player Development, Socials, Treasurer, Communications). During this time, he has also run the Ontario Tennis Association's 5.0 Provincial Championships and helped to develop Davisville Cup, the club’s charity event for Philpott Children’s Charity. Stuart continues in his role as President during the 2019 season.
Stuart has also been involved in the Intercounty Tennis Association, first as Tournament Director which he proposed and developed from 2006 until 2018 and currently as Vice-President. Stuart has also served as a team captain for 10+ years on C, B and A teams within the Mixed League.
Working with Alastair at Davisville for many years, he is pleased to have the opportunity to once again combine their energy to continue to develop The Supreme Court for the benefit of all tennis players in Toronto. Stuart recognizes the need for quality tennis programming, facilities and an organization that creates a positive experience for its members. He sees great opportunity to do that with The Supreme Court.
"For years Stuart referred to a tennis clubs storage shed as a Court House, thats just the type of guy he is, he can jazz up anything! Even TSC!"
